Greater Manchester Learning Disability Joint Training Partnership

The Partnership Management Board will meet at least 6 times per year

Membership will consist of representatives from each of the following:

1. Each NHS Trust within the Greater Manchester area.
   
2. Each Learning Disability Partnership Board within the Greater Manchester area.
   
3. Each Local Authority Social Services Department within the Greater Manchester area
   
4. The Workforce and Development Confederation component of the Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority.
   
5. The North West Training and Development Team.
   
6. Representatives of people with learning disabilities and family members – recruited via the regional Self-Advocates forum and the regional Family Forum
   
7. Representative of the Greater Manchester Lead Officers’ Group
   
8. Representative of Valuing People Support Team/CSIP

The Partnership Manager will be accountable to and initially service the Management Board.

The Management Board may choose to develop an executive group to deal with practical/operational matters which can be dealt with outside of the Management Board. The Management Board may also wish to set up subject specific or time limited task groups.

The initial setting up of the training and Development Partnership Management Board will be supported by the North West Training & Development Team.
